Computer Network Operations Planning Support Specialist


Description

The Computer Network Operations Planning Support Specialist will support various types of NTOC planning efforts in support of Computer Network Operations (CNO).

  • Most planning activities also entail development of CNO requirements and/or providing actionable recommendations and technical support.
  • Personnel may specifically be required to: Understand and support exercises to include the development of requirements and a long-term strategy to support those requirements; Identify, organize, and document steps to conduct CNO, which may include the development of long-term functional requirements;
  • Assist in the determination of risks and benefits when recommending actions to mitigate cyber threats, develop success criteria associated with CNO to be performed, and prepare assessments of CNO conducted by NTOC and its mission partners;
  • Assist with the integration and synchronization of CNO activities and deliver actionable recommendations and technical support; and/or
  • Assist with process gap analysis and process development in support of CNO and deliver actionable recommendations and technical support.


Requirements

Qualifications include demonstrated demonstrated skills in analyzing intelligence and/or related information and technical data, describing CNO opportunities, documenting information and processes, gathering intelligence information, interpreting complex information, performing Internet research, writing and editing skills at a technical/professional level, and managing internal and external customer relations. Shall be an effective writer and verbal communicator.

Entry-Junior Computer Network Operations Planning Support Specialist: Shall have a minimum of four continuous years of work experience in computer network operations or a related field, or a combination of a minimum of two continuous years of work experience and a Bachelors degree in an applicable (for example, math, science, computers, engineering) field. Workexperience shall include two years of Intelligence Community experience in computer network operations or a related field.

Mid-Level Computer Network Operations Planning Support Specialist: Shall have a minimum of six continuous years of work experience in computer network operations or a related field, or a combination of a minimum of three continuous years of work experience and a Bachelors degree in an applicable (for example, math, science, computers, engineering) field. Work experience shall include three years of Intelligence Community experience in computer network operations or a related field.

Senior Computer Network Operations Planning Support Specialist: Shall have a minimum of eight continuous years of work experience in computer network operations or a related field, or a combination of a minimum of five continuous years of work experience and a Bachelors degree in an applicable (for example, math, science, computers, engineering) field. Work experience shall include five years of Intelligence Community experience in computer network operations or a related field.
